Wilhelm Kuhnert (1865–1926) was a German painter, illustrator, and naturalist, renowned for his depictions of African wildlife. Born in Oppeln, Germany, Kuhnert studied at the Berlin Academy of Art and became fascinated with exotic animals and landscapes. He traveled extensively to Africa, where he studied and sketched animals in their natural habitats.
