Tina Blau
Tina Blau (1845–1916) was an Austrian landscape painter and one of the leading female artists of her time, celebrated for her vibrant and atmospheric landscapes. Born in Vienna, Blau studied under several prominent artists, including August Schaeffer and Emil Jakob Schindler. She was associated with the Austrian mood painting movement (Stimmungsimpressionismus) and was known for her plein air painting, often focusing on parks, gardens, and other natural settings in Vienna and beyond.
Blau’s work was recognized for its exceptional use of color and light, and she gained international recognition at exhibitions across Europe.
