Rudolf von Alt (1812–1905) was an Austrian painter and lithographer, renowned for his detailed and atmospheric watercolors of cityscapes, landscapes, and interiors. Born in Vienna, von Alt was the son of lithographer Jakob Alt, and he trained in the arts from an early age. His works capture the architectural beauty of cities such as Vienna, Venice, and Rome, often focusing on historical buildings and everyday scenes rendered with remarkable precision and subtlety.
